After you have had a successful Meet & Greet with your sitter, please hit the "Book now" button in the enquiry in order to make a payment.
This is how the payment process works in a full detail.
Credit card or PayPal:
- When you send a booking request to a pet sitter, the amount for the booking is reserved on your credit card or Paypal account. At this time, there’s no payment, just an authorisation for the amount.
- Once the booking is confirmed by the sitter, the amount is withdrawn from your credit card or Paypal account. At this time, there’s a payment.
- Should the sitter not confirm the booking, the authorisation will be released and you won’t be charged.
Debit card (Maestro):
- When you send a booking request to a pet sitter, the amount for the booking is taken out of your account.
- Should the sitter not confirm the booking, you will receive a full refund.
This means that the amount for the booking is taken out of your account at the latest when the sitter confirms the booking. It is held in escrow until the end of the booking, which is when we pay out the sitter.
Some sitters will require you to book right after a successful Meet & Greet in order to hold your spot in their planning. Others won't ask you to book until closer to the beginning of the booking. Please discuss the timing with your sitter during the Meet & Greet.
