Yes, absolutely! We strongly recommend that you and your pet sitter arrange a Meet & Greet before the booking. It’s the best way to ensure that you, your pet sitter and – most importantly – your pet get along well. In those very rare cases in which a problem arises, it's usually because the pet and pet sitter are not a good match and didn't meet beforehand.
If you are looking for a dog sitter and the sitter in question owns a dog themselves, it is best to arrange a meeting on neutral ground so that neither dog will feel the need to defend their territory.
When looking for somebody to visit your cat at home while you are away, some prefer to meet the cat sitter elsewhere first, while others immediately invite them into their home to meet the cat.
If you are not entirely certain how your pet will behave when you are not around, we even recommend a test sitting for one day or one night.
