No, you're not allowed to accept payment in cash, bank transfer or any other payment method. The pet owner must make a reservation and pay via the Pawshake website or app. This way, you and the pet owner both demonstrate a high level of commitment to the booking arrangement, are both protected in case of cancellation and will enjoy peace-of-mind knowing the customer service team is there to help at any time
Most importantly, a booking is only covered by The Pawshake Guarantee (includes veterinary coverage and more) if it is confirmed and paid for through the Pawshake website or app.
Trust and safety is of utmost importance on Pawshake. If a pet sitter breaks this trust by breaching our user agreement, they will be permanently removed from Pawshake.

Wondering how to confirm a booking?
The pet owner needs to finalise the booking by hitting the "book now" button in the enquiry message or by booking directly via the service list on your profile.
As soon as they have done so, you will receive a notification asking you to confirm. Once you have confirmed the booking, you're all set!
