After you have had a successful Meet & Greet with your sitter, please hit the "Book now" button in the enquiry in order to make a payment.
This is how the payment process works in full detail.
- When you send a booking request to a pet sitter, the amount for the booking is authorised and reserved on your credit card.
- Should the sitter not confirm the booking, the authorisation will be released and you won’t be charged.
Debit card (iDeal, Bancontact, SofortÜberweisung, GiroPay):
- When you send a booking request to a pet sitter, the amount for the booking is taken out of your account.
- Should the sitter not confirm the booking, you will receive a full refund.
This means that the amount for the booking is taken out of your account when you send a booking request. It is held securely until the end of the booking, which is when we pay out the sitter.
Some sitters will require you to book right after a successful Meet & Greet in order to hold your spot in their planning. Others won't ask you to book until closer to the beginning of the booking. Please discuss the timing with your sitter during the Meet & Greet.
